The Challenge: Develop a packaging solution for a set of components for helicopter seats. The customer needed the components packed in a predetermined order to make it easy for their customer to unload and use as they needed them. The set of components weighed over 60 lbs. and contained various hinges and brackets.
The Solution: Leverpack developed a solution using a double wall corrugated box as the container with 2.2 lb. polyethylene die cut foam to control and protect the parts. The foam allowed the parts to be packed in layers so the components could be packed in the order needed.
